About Fantasy Arcade Ultimate
Five legs, five different games
The Whisperwood is a runner: jump the roots, duck the branches, cut the violet wards. The High Road is a flight: one gap per gate, a single flap button. Ravenhold Keep is an arena: waves of creatures and one blade. The Undervault is a gathering: a quota, a clock and spike plates. Emberspire is the dragon: four telegraphed attacks and forty-five seconds to survive.
Each leg announces its own controls on arrival, because a game that changes its control scheme without saying so is not testing anything worth testing.
The five pips in the corner show where you are in the lap at all times, so the shape of the journey is always visible.
One health bar is the entire design
Health does not reset between legs. It is restored by exactly one heart per leg cleared, capped at the maximum, which means a lap run cleanly is survivable and a lap survived by luck is not.
That continuity is what makes this one game rather than five. Every decision in the forest is a decision about the dragon, and the leg bonus - which pays 120 points per remaining heart - makes that explicit in the score as well as in the difficulty.
It also means the legs cannot be practised independently in the way the rest of the site can, which is exactly why this is the flagship rather than the introduction.
Laps, and why there is no ending
Finishing the fifth leg does not end the run. It starts the journey again with everything faster, everything denser, and one extra dragon attack in the rotation, up to the full four.
The score is cumulative across laps, and the leg bonus grows by 220 per leg completed overall, so the second lap is worth roughly twice the first. The question the game asks is not whether it can be beaten - nothing here can be - but how many laps you can hold together.
A first lap takes most players five to seven minutes. A second is where the game actually begins.
What to practise before playing it
Each leg is a compressed version of a full game on the site, so the honest preparation is to play those. Wizard Run for the forest, Dragon Dash for the flight, Sword Quest for the arena, Treasure Hunt for the gathering, Dragon Treasure for the dragon.
The dragon leg in particular assumes you can already read the four attacks, because it gives you them two at a time from the first lap rather than introducing them one at a time.
If one leg keeps ending your run, the corresponding game is where to go. That is the same relationship Ultimate Fantasy Challenge has with the reflex category, one level up.
How to play

- Health carries between legs. One heart is restored per leg cleared.
- Finishing the fifth leg starts the lap again, faster and denser.

Scoring
These are the point values this game awards, before the combo multiplier is applied where it uses one. Hit quality changes the figure: a strike at the centre of the correct moment is worth substantially more than one at the edge of it.
Tips
- Health carries. Treat the first leg as seriously as the fifth, because it is the same run.
- The leg bonus pays 120 a heart, so arriving healthy is worth real points as well as survival.
- Read the control banner at the start of each leg rather than assuming.
- Practise the five source games - each leg is a compressed version of one of them.
- The dragon leg gives you two attacks from the first lap. Learn them in Dragon Treasure first.
- The second lap is where the game starts. Budget health for it from the first leg.
Common mistakes
- Playing the forest leg carelessly because it is the easy one - it is the same health bar.
- Carrying arena instincts into the flight leg, where there is only one button.
- Treating a cleared lap as an ending and relaxing into the second one.
- Trying to kill the dragon.
- Ignoring treasure in the dragon leg, which is the only scoring available during it.
